‘I Have Learned to Kiss the Waves’ T-shirt in Black.
“I have learned to kiss the waves that throws me up against the Rock of Ages”– Charles Spurgeon
This design is the collaboration of ideas between a friend and myself. <3
My friend’s sweet daughter was born with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, also known as TSC. In the US alone, 1 in every 6000 children is born with TSC. This condition is a multi-system genetic disease that causes benign tumors (tubers) to grow in any major organ system. Some of the symptoms include seizures and cognitive disorders. As such, one of the self-adopted symbols used to bring awareness to TSC is an ocean wave, symbolizing the irregular brain waves frequently occurring with this condition, along with the “waves” of emotions, tests, and endless doctor visits.
My friend and her family have really had to lean into Christ while navigating the ups and downs of this journey with their daughter, and as such, are seeking to learn to “kiss the (TSC) waves that throws them up against the Rock of Ages.” 🌊 And thus, the idea for this shirt was born.
This shirt is made with a Gildan G500, featuring a unisex fit, made with 50% cotton/50% polyester. See size chart for sizing information.
